Cross-firm collaboration
Beaulieu International Group's new showroom and office buildings in Wielsbeke are under construction. The building has a total surface area of approximately 3700m², 1600m² of which is exclusively for the showroom. In the showroom, all B.I.G. solutions will be discoverable through interactive product installations. Throughout the showroom there will be different boxes, identified by a different color.

No fewer than 4 ATS Group companies are collaborating on this project: Westelec & Naessens HVAC. ATS and Luc De Jonge are working there as subcontractors of Naessens HVAC for the electrical connection of the boiler room.
Architectural firm Govaert & Vanhoutte was responsible for the high-end design. Architecturally, everything was prepared very meticulously to which Westelec and Naessens HVAC applied their expertise. Their customized study was finally converted into an implementation plan after several discussions with the client.
Westelec is responsible for all electrotechnical techniques such as panel building, floor channelization and floor boxes, data cabling and dataracks, KNX control, fire detection, access control, lighting, street lighting, HVAC cabling, etc. Westelec also recently renewed the fiber optic network at the Wielsbeke site.
Naessens is taking care of the entire HVAC installation. Geothermal technology is used here for cooling and heating. This required about 60 boreholes next to the building. There are 2 heat pumps coupled of 110 kW for heating or passive cooling coupled with an underfloor heating package and cooling beams. Through this geothermal heat pump technology, the building can also be cooled for free most of the summer. The active cold production is realized by means of a 200 kW monoblock chiller installed on the roof. Westelec is providing all power cabling and power boards for this. The new building will thus have a particularly small ecological footprint.
ATS & Luc De Jonge are working on behalf of Naessens and are taking care of the cabling in the boiler room on the roof. Our colleagues have been working there since March/April 2023 with a crew of about 10 people each on site. The construction work is on schedule and they aim to finish by the end of February. The new building stands on the site of the original farmhouse of Roger De Clerck, the founder of Beaulieu. The farmhouse still contained an original loom. This may now be hanging in the showroom as a tribute.
On the parking lot of the showroom and office buildings, charging stations will be installed by ATS. In short, a realization that we as a group can be particularly proud of! After all, the expertise of our subsidiaries come together to form one whole.
