On Friday, Jan. 27, the East Flanders finals of the First Lego League Challenge, organized by FluxLab in cooperation with ATS, will take place.
The First Lego League Challenge is an international technology competition for children 9 to 15 years old. Children are challenged to think like scientists and engineers. Each edition, teams work on an innovation project. In addition, participants learn to build and program a robot.
The theme of this2nd edition is SuperPowered. It focuses on the future of energy generation and consumption. How will our energy be generated, stored, distributed and consumed? Will there always be enough energy available? Many take this all for granted, but is it really?
More than 30 teams from all over the province compete against each other at Tectura (Gent-center). These range from schools, classes and youth clubs to groups of friends and families. A coach guided the teams through the entire program until the finals. Who will advance to the final of the Benelux?
