Function

As a Technical Sales Engineer, your daily responsibilities will include the following:

• Be go-to partner for your clients and maintain commercial contacts.
• You make new contacts and spot opportunities.
• Proactively advise clients in their future projects.
• Conduct technical discussions to prepare quotes; to this end, you will develop technical concepts tailored to the client’s needs, either independently or in consultation with experienced engineers and project managers.
• Price calculation, technical development of offers and further follow-up.
• Price negotiations and final contract discussions.
• Providing commercial support and monitoring customer satisfaction throughout the project.
• Perform financial post-calculations on completed projects.
• Financial balance sheet evaluation in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Initiate close communication lines and collaborations with the BU Manager, Project Engineers, Project Managers and fellow Sales Engineers from other business units.
• You closely monitor technological developments and work with the BU Manager to determine the strategy to be followed.

Profile

If you are applying for the position of Technical Sales Engineer, you should recognize yourself in the following qualities:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field or you are equivalent through experience.
• You are passionate about electrical engineering.
• A strong personality who possesses good motivational and communication skills.
• Your enthusiasm ensures that you open doors smoothly.          
• Fluent negotiator who possesses good organizational and administrative skills.
• Accuracy; you have an eye for detail and quality.
• Architectural drawings, electrical diagrams, P&ID, ... have no secrets for you.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch. You understand and speak English and you can manage in French.
• You are in possession of a driver's license B.
