For our branch in Gent, where our machine building activities are located, we are looking for driven Service Technicians.

Function

After a thorough training period (in our workshop) you will start working as a service technician in our service and assembly team.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare, pre-assemble and perform testing on various engineering units such as vacuum pumps, hydraulic systems, peeling machines and other machinery.
• Disassemble, clean, replace (wear) parts, assemble units.
• Proper inspection of finished parts before final assembly.
• Diagnosis and repair of delivered appliances by leak search technology.
• Perform service interventions and preventive maintenance.
• Regular trips to customers to perform periodic maintenance.
• Communicate with the customer about the condition of their equipment, any malfunctions or future overhauls. You will assist customers in the use of their equipment.
• Report the maintenance work performed:
  • Preparation of maintenance reports.
  • Preparation of to-do lists, supplemented by advice to improve the current situation.

Profile

• You have a degree in a technical field with initial work experience. A commitment is made to the necessary training.
• You have a passion for technology.
• Knowledge of bearing and sealing techniques is a plus.
• You have knowledge of Industrial electricity, You can connect and test electrical motors and systems.
• Depending on ambitions and potential, we look at other/additional responsibilities.
• You can work with independence, but ask for help when needed.
• You work accurately and orderly.
• You are in possession of a driver's license B.
