At the facility in Gent, where our machine building activities are consolidated, we are looking for an Operator / Setter machining CNC.

Function

As a CNC Machining Operator/Setter, you are the one who lets our turning and milling machines do what they do best: produce perfect parts. You will work on both standard parts and unique products; every day you will discover something new.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Operating, setting up, and (re)programming CNC-controlled milling and turning machines.
• Optimize NC programs for the most efficient machine use possible.
• Perform accurate quality checks on your own work.
• Report deviations, both in quality and in programming.
• Correct replacement of wear parts and intervention in unsafe situations.
• Help ensure optimal performance and carry out minor maintenance tasks.
• Actively contributing ideas on how to make the workplace and processes smarter and more efficient.
• Working on both series and unique pieces, each presenting a new challenge.

Profile

• You have a technical degree (mechanical forming techniques) or equivalent through experience.
• You have knowledge of conventional machining and CNC techniques.
• Are you a beginner or experienced? Both are welcome! We provide thorough guidance.
• You can work independently, you show initiative, and you also function well in a team.
• You are driven and motivated.
• You have strong spatial awareness and are skilled at implementation.
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail.
• You are familiar with micrometers, calipers, and 3-point gauges.
• You are eager to learn, flexible and immune to stress.
• You want to contribute ideas and actively participate in our production system.
