We are looking for an industrial electrician for our subsidiary, Westelec, in Ypres.

Function

As an industrial electrician, you are responsible for installing, connecting, and maintaining electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. You will work on a variety of projects and, together with your colleagues, help ensure high-quality and safe installations.

Your duties and responsibilities

• Installing and wiring distribution panels and electrical systems.
• Pulling cables and installing cable trays, conduits, and pipes.
• Installing lighting systems according to technical drawings.
• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Connecting motors, control circuits, and other electrical components.
• Performing maintenance and repair work on existing installations.
• Detecting and troubleshooting electrical faults.
• Working in accordance with applicable safety regulations and quality standards.
• Accurately reporting the work performed to the site manager or project manager.

Profile

• You have completed a program in industrial electricity or have equivalent experience.
• You have already gained relevant experience in the industrial or commercial electricity sector.
• You can read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• You are motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to quality.
• You have a sense of responsibility and work safely.
• You enjoy working as part of a team, but you can also work independently.
• You think solution-oriented and like to roll up your sleeves.
• You are flexible and willing to travel to different job sites.
• You have a driving licence B.
• Knowledge of French is a plus.
