The Engineering Competence Centre ensures that the switchgear is designed according to the latest developments and the most recent standards.
We use the Eplan platform as standard for our design. We make maximum use of standardisation.
The use of 3D engineering is increasingly becoming our standard. The right information is sent directly to our ERP system and to our machinery. This results in more efficient logistics and production, a lower error rate and shorter lead times.
Our products are always designed, assembled and tested according to IEC 61439-1 and IEC 61439-2 for energy distribution.Â
IEC 60204 is the applied standard for control panels. These standards are the basis for all designed and produced control cabinets and distribution boards.
Moreover, we have the necessary certificates to build boards according to the UL standards for the North American market.

The European Declaration of Conformity is not relevant on the North American market, where local accreditation is required.
An organisation such as UL (Underwriters Laboratories) can vouch for this.
ATS and its electrical panel departments are accredited by UL, and can guarantee UL-compliance in the construction of electrical panels.
In 1989, ATS was the first in Belgium to start using
Eplan as an engineering platform.
It is partly thanks to this know-how, built up over many years, that we are at the top today.
